Good Governance Competition:
First time in history a chance to experience Moot Vidhan Sabha and Moot Loksabha
Celebrating the 65th birthday of our Hon’ble President Droupadi Murmu and release of her book “President Droupadi Murmu: Reflection of Changing Bharat” authored by Dr. Vijayalakshmi Mohanty We are pleased to present a Good Governance competition to impart skills of good governance and efficient policy making in nation’s youth.
STAGES OF COMPETITION:
Level 1:
Analytical Essay
Upload 1 Video explaining the allocated problem: contributing factors, solutions, ways to find solutions, Stake Holders in Solutions, Implementation feasibility on scale and Economic Feasibility.
Level 2: Zonal Debate Pro and Against
Frame a policy: covering need for implementation, estimated budget, Strategy to apply at scale, afffected groups before after, hindarance Most voted candidates will be moved on to next level. Candidate who dont qualify for next stage will vote their candidate in Moot Vidhan sabha (Population vote).
Level 3: Moot Vidhan Sabha
A hypothetical budget will be given candidate must convince for budget allocation for his bill.
Frame a policy bill: Covering: Need for implementation, Estimated budget, Strategy to apply at scale, Afffected groups before after, Hindarance (Problem statement will be given).
Propose a policy
Pass the bill
Voting Sceme: Pass bill + Moot Vidhan Sabha Votes + Population Vote
Level 4: Moot Lok Sabha
Problem Statement will be given Advisors from all fields(Science, Environment, Economics etc) will be provided for assisting.
Frame Policy + Propose a bill
Vote: Lok Sabha+ Vidhan Sabha Votes + Vote from Populations.
Advisor for Good Governance:
Students from Universities can apply to be advisor at Lok Sabha stage to Moot Lok Sabha MPs. Students can be advisor in their respective field of study.
Perks: Chance to attend Prize Ceremony. Meet several diginitaries of state and central. Chance to get their copy of book "The President Droupadi Murmu" signed by Author Dr. Vijaya Lakshmi Mohanty
Competition will commence with prize Ceremony and a panel disscusion of Dr. Vijaya Lakshmi Mohanty with the winners.
